  • Upgrading supply capacity for additional power requirements
  • Meter installations and relocations

Industrial level 2 work
High-capacity connections for heavy machinery and production equipment requiring substantial three-phase power from the grid.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What's the difference between level 1 and level 2 electrical work?

Answer

Level 1 work covers everything inside your property from the meter onward. Level 2 work deals with connections between your property and the electricity grid, including the service line, meter installation, and connection to the pole or underground mains. Level 2 requires specific licensing and authorisation from electricity providers.

How long does level 2 electrical work take?

Answer

Depends on what’s required and the electricity provider’s schedules. Simple meter upgrades might take a day once scheduled. New service connections or substantial upgrades can take several weeks due to provider approvals, inspections, and scheduling. We coordinate the process and provide realistic timeframes.

Do I need level 2 work if I'm just upgrading my internal electrical system?

Answer

Not always. If your existing supply capacity is adequate for the upgraded internal system, level 2 work isn’t needed. We assess your current supply and planned electrical load to determine if a mains upgrade is necessary.

Can level 2 work be done while my property is occupied?

Answer

Usually, yes, though there will be a power outage period during the connection work. We coordinate timing to minimise disruption and provide advance notice of when power will be off.

Do I need level 2 work if I'm just upgrading my switchboard?

Answer

Not always. If your existing service connection has adequate capacity, internal switchboard upgrades don’t require level 2 work. We assess your current supply and involve level 2 services only if you need increased grid capacity or modifications to the service connection itself.

Do you handle the paperwork and approvals with electricity providers?

Answer

We manage the coordination with electricity providers, including applications, approvals, and scheduling. This removes the back-and-forth of dealing with providers directly while ensuring your level 2 work meets their requirements.
